Photos of my Collection!
So I recently announced that my manga collection was around 500 books, which earned me the title of “King of Mangas” according to the cute blogger over there at Equivocal Resolution. I’m sure that there are many other people out there with more books then I have, so I don’t think I quite deserve the title of King yet. But I am really proud of the library I have accumulated in my four years of fandom. Since I’m finally home for spring break, I’ve decided to update my manga collection and DVD collection on these websites. But given the extra attention I’ve been getting lately, I would like to treat you all with some quick pictures of my collection.
Now as it turns out, I’m actually 22 volumes shy of the 500 mark. But that’s still way too many to fit in the two bookcases I own. I used to be able to fit both the translated and un-translated books on there, but now I can only fit my English books! So for these pictures, I’ve only got the English books proudly displayed, while the Japanese books are stuck on the floor next to it. Also, I left my backlog of books and DVDs to read and watch in my dorm room, so they’re not here, as well as most of my Japanese books. But this is still most of what I own.

Nice collection of stuff. You blow my stock out of the water. Although most of my stock is on my two 120gb harddrives.

Whoa your collection is intense (you even categorized it in alphabetical order)…simply amazing!
LOL You make it sound as if you are striving towards that goal so does that mean we’ll see more purchases in the near future?

Well, seeing as there’s no link for “contact” and I cant find the post via Live journal, I just wanted to tell you that while I was looking through the anime section at Towers, I saw a dvd named “Otaku Unite”. Very tempted to watch it, I looked at the back to see what it really was, and lo and behold, I saw your friend Jenn on the back cover (I knew I saw that chun li cosplay before). Anyways, just a heads up in case you didn’t know. I decided to comment in this particular post because it could be in your collection. oooh. I’m good… and i’m still tempted to see if I’m in it by accident. You know, a part of my beanie or something.

Thanks for the info, Os! Jenn and I have been broken up for some time now, so I was a little hesitant on buying the DVD. I knew that she would probably be in an “extra” for the DVD, but I never expected her to be on the back cover! So I already sent her an email with your comment, and I’ve ordered a copy of the DVD myself. I’ll write a little post on it when I get the movie.

You are one lucky guy to have THAT much anime in one house. Ohmigod. And to think I had the most anime things in my class.^_^
