Yakitate Japan - Episode 19

A late night update before I got to bed.

Oooh, evil, evil, evil, evil bitch!

And that’s very odd because up to now in the series, all the competitions have all been done fair and square. So now Yukino comes in and turns this series around to a darker tone. I don’t really like that so much.

But now a little more is known about Kunmuri-kun. She is a genius and has had some kind of relationship with Ryou in the past. Now they’re implying that it’s some kind of yaoi thing, but we can all tell that she’s a girl.

Not too much as far as laughs go this episode, but my LMAO moment this episode would be the paper flicking fight between Tsukino and the store manager.

  1. Er, hate to tell you but Kanmuri IS a guy. I’ve read the manga and nowhere is it ever said that Kanmuri is a girl. They make it obvious on several occasions that Kanmur is in fact a boy. That’s why the yaoi joke is so funny.

Just because he has pink hair doesn’t mean he’s a girl.

  2. After reading that comment, I’m reminded of a scene from Family Guy that would best describe my feelings on it.

Peter: If you could be stranded on a desert island with any woman in the world, who would it be?
    Quagmire: Taylor Hanson.
Joe: Taylor Hanson is a guy.
Quagmire: [Laughs] You guys are yankin’ me. “Hey, let’s put one over on Quagmire.”
Peter: No, he’s actually a guy, Quagmire.
Quagmire: What? That’s insane. That’s impossible.
    [Pause]
Quagmire: Oh god. Oh my god. I’ve got all these magazines. Oh god.

    I can now empathize with Quagmire…(>_< )
